About this card
Hotels.com is the Expedia Group hotel-booking platform — founded in 1991 as Hotel Reservations Network, acquired by Expedia in 2001, and today aggregating roughly 700,000 properties in 200+ countries. The Hotels.com gift card adds balance to your booking checkout on the country store matching the card. Since 2023, the platform runs the unified One Key loyalty program: members earn OneKeyCash on qualifying spend, banked across Hotels.com, Expedia, and Vrbo and redeemable on any of the three. (One Key replaced the legacy "Hotels.com Rewards" 1-night-free-per-10-booked scheme.)
The catalogue covers chain hotels (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Accor, Hyatt, Wyndham, Choice), boutique & independent properties, hostels, resorts, serviced apartments, and villas, in every market Expedia Group serves. Bookings include free cancellation rates, last-minute deals, and member prices for One Key sign-ins. Hotels.com also sells flight + hotel packages at hotels.com/packages, and your gift card balance can pay the hotel portion of those packages.
Cards are region-locked to the country store: a US card redeems only on hotels.com (US store), a UK card only on hotels.com/en-gb, a German card only on hotels.com/en-de, and so on for the 7 markets we sell — US, UK, DE, FR, CA, AU, JP. A card from one region cannot redeem in another. Pick the recipient's country carefully. This is also why Hotels.com cards are not interchangeable with Hotelgift, Booking.com, or Expedia.com gift cards — those are separate products on different rails.
Redemption is straightforward: sign in (or check out as a guest), search and pick a hotel, and enter the 16-digit code + PIN at the payment step. Partial redemption is supported — any leftover balance stays on the same code for future bookings on the same country store. You will never share a Hotels.com login or any government ID with us. Email is the only thing we collect, and only to deliver the claim code, in about 11 minutes after your transaction confirms. Crypto privacy angle: no destinations show up on a credit-card statement, no hotel-platform login is tied to a bank account, and no booking history attaches to your card-issuer profile.
What you get
- A claim code, delivered by email
- A private order page (14-day access)
- Re-issue or full refund if the code fails
- No Hotels.com login or ID required
Asked & answered
Specifics for Hotels.com cards. For general crypto-payment questions, see the site FAQ.
Is this Hotels.com or Hotelgift / Booking.com / Expedia?
hotels.com and its country stores (hotels.com/en-gb, hotels.com/en-de, etc). It is not the same product as Hotelgift (Gift IT B.V., a third-party aggregator that sells hotel-booking gift cards redeemable at its own portal), nor Booking.com, nor Expedia.com — Hotelgift, Booking.com and Expedia.com all run their own separate gift-card programs sold elsewhere on this site or by other vendors. Pick this product only if the recipient will redeem on hotels.com itself.
Which Hotels.com store does this card work on?
hotels.com (the US store). A UK card redeems only on hotels.com/en-gb. A German card on hotels.com/en-de, French on hotels.com/en-fr, Canadian on hotels.com/en-ca, Australian on hotels.com/en-au, Japanese on hotels.com/en-jp. The store URL is shown on each variant chip and again on your order confirmation.
Can I use a US card on hotels.com/en-gb?
Can I earn One Key OneKeyCash when I pay with this card?
