Bowlero is the largest bowling operator in the world and runs more than 300 centres across the United States under three banners — Bowlero, Bowlmor Lanes and AMF — with the parent company now trading as Lucky Strike Entertainment. The format is the whole product: blacklight lanes, music loud enough to matter, food and drink brought to the lane rather than a snack hatch, and an arcade running along the back wall.

The card is counter credit. It buys lane time by the hour or by the game, shoe rental, arcade play loaded onto a play card at the kiosk, and anything off the menu — the wings and the pitcher as readily as the bowling. Walk-in packages sold at the desk, including unlimited-bowling blocks, are payable from it too, and because it is balance rather than a voucher, a big card can cover a group one night and a couple of lanes the next.

The constraint that bites is where it works, not what it buys. This is an in-centre card: it is handed over at the front desk, and it does not settle lane reservations booked and paid for online in advance, league dues or tournament entry fees, all of which Bowlero runs on separate rails. Does it work at AMF and Bowlmor lanes as well as Bowlero?

Yes. The three banners are one operator, and a Bowlero gift card is accepted at the front desk of Bowlero, Bowlmor Lanes and AMF centres alike. That matters in practice because the banner over the door varies city to city — the recipient does not have to hunt for a specific sign, only for a centre in the family.

Can I book a lane online and pay with the card?

No, and this is the one thing to get right before buying. Bowlero takes advance lane reservations on its website, but that checkout does not accept a gift card. The card is an in-centre instrument: walk in, ask at the desk for a lane, and pay there. Busy Friday nights are the reason to arrive early rather than pre-book.

Does it cover the arcade, or only the bowling?

The arcade is covered. Bowlero centres run games off a rechargeable play card, and the gift card is what pays for the credit at the kiosk or the front desk — it is not the play card itself. Load as much as you like from the balance; the tickets or points the games pay out sit on the play card and are spent at the prize counter.

Can I use it for food and drinks at the lane?

Yes. Lane-side service is a large part of what Bowlero sells — a full menu of shareables, pizza and burgers plus a proper bar — and the tab settles from the same gift-card balance as the lane and the shoes. It is one of the few venue cards where a group can genuinely eat, drink and bowl on a single code.

Will it pay for league play or a tournament entry?

No. Leagues and tournaments are billed separately from ordinary open play — sign-up fees, weekly dues and entry fees run through their own systems rather than the till at the front desk — so a gift card cannot settle them. Buy the card for open bowling, arcade play, and the food and drink around it.

Does the balance expire?

No. Under the chain's standard US terms the balance does not expire and carries no service or inactivity fee, so a card can sit in a drawer until somebody has a free evening. It is not reloadable, though, so once the value is spent the card is finished rather than topped up.

Can one card cover several visits, or several cards one night?

Both. Anything left after a visit stays on the card, so a $250 balance can easily be three or four evenings for a couple. In the other direction, multiple codes can be applied to one tab, and if a big group runs past the balance the difference simply goes on another payment method at the desk.
